Sean Robinson / assT. director, Visual Caption head & Battery Coordinator


Sean Robinson is an El Paso, Texas native musician. Currently, he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Music Education at New Mexico State University.

He is a proud alumnus of Sun City Independent having marched in its 2022 season. During his career, he has been taught by percussion pedagogues such as Fred Bugbee and Matt Savage.

As a proud advocate of the marching arts, Mr. Robinson has taught at numerous high schools in the El Paso area for five years. He is currently serving as the battery technician at Coronado High School and Andress High School in El Paso, Texas.

Jose-ANgel Rivas/ Battery Specialist


Jose-Angel Rivas is an El Paso, Texas native musician. He is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Music Education at University of Texas at El Paso.

His experience in the marching arts consists of being a member of Sun City Independent, Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps, and is serving as a Section Leader for the UTEP Marching Miners. Jose is currently teaching as a  Percussion Technician at Americas High School. 

Abril Lechuga / Front Ensemble Specialist


Abril Lechuga is an El Paso, Texas native musician. She recently completed her education at the University of Texas at El Paso, obtaining a Bachelor's in accounting with a minor in finance.

While at UTEP, Abril was a member of the Marching Miners. She is a proud alumnus of Sun City Independent and was excited to join the Sun City Musical Arts Board of Directors as the treasurer once she aged out.

Ms. Lechuga has been involved with the marching arts by teaching at local high schools for five years now. She is currently serving as the front ensemble technician at Pebble Hills High School.

Krystian CaRrillo/ Front Ensemble Specialist


Krystian Carrillo is a percussion performer and educator from El Paso, Texas. He is pursuing a degree in Electrical Engineering with a minor in mathematics at the University of Texas at El Paso. While at UTEP, he has completed 4 years with the UTEP Marching Miners.

Krystian's experience in the marching arts began with Sun City Independent during its 2019 season and continued through 2023, he is also a proud member of Genesis Drum and Bugle Corps having marched in its 2022 season. Krystian has also performed at an international level at the Percussive Arts Society International Convention (PASIC) in its marching percussion division.

Krystian is a proud musical and marching arts advocate and has shared his deep love for percussion with aspiring young talents across multiple schools in the El Paso area. He is currently serving as the Front Ensemble Coordinator at Coronado High School in El Paso, Texas, under director James Smith. He is very excited to be giving back to his community by contributing to the educational endeavors of SCMA.
